Community Service Volunteer Hours

Community Service Volunteer Hours

There are many clubs and programs that require members to be involved in their communities, so we provide a place for teens and adults from many walks of life to work on community service volunteer hours. Check with your leadership first to be sure that your hours with us will fit your requirements. We are ready to sign your paperwork at the end of your shift - just show up ready to work! Read up on our Volunteer Guidelines so you are prepared for the day ahead of you.

  • At least 100 hours are required for the Florida Academic Scholars award; at least 75 hours are required for the Florida Medallion Scholars award, and must be completed before graduation from high school. Other scholarship programs may require volunteer hours as well.
  • Some colleges require a certain amount of volunteer hours, in addition to minimum GPA, etc before considering an application. Do you have enough community service to get into your college of choice?
  • Even if the college you want to attend does not require community service for entry, some fraternities and sororities do!
  • Beauty pageant contestants often volunteer in their communities, before and after winning the crown. Miss Duval County visited us several times in 2015.
  • Court-ordered community service hours may be required during probation for minor offenses. In these cases, we reserve the right to approve or deny your request to serve with us, depending on the nature of offense and available jobs. Must have timesheet, letter of introduction, or other necessary paperwork from probation officer.
